Up for your consideration is a vintage signed ROMWEBER solid oak carved half moon desk with the matching chair. The amazing craftsmanship in this semi-circular (68" diameter, 18" wide and 30 1/2" tall) desk is shown throughout from the dovetail drawers (notice the label in the main desk drawer), to the hand carvings on the bottom rail to the legs - all being done to perfection. To protect the surface, this piece in excellent condition comes with a custom made glass top. It has fold down leaves on each side (not glass covered)and has adequate storage in the open slots and in the large center drawer. (Notice the carvings along the top) This is a very heavy and solid piece, and because of its unique character will be a valued and talked about addition to a study, office, living room or a family room. Even though it is an antique piece, it is easily adaptable to today's computer world allowing for placement of a laptop or desk top leaving much of the needed room for writing and knick-knacks. There is a matching chair that blends in any decor. The piece bears the Griffin family coat of arms, but can be easily replaced with your family's coat of arms.
